NHS is not safe in their hands

Thank God for the NHS because again Tina my wife had to have another operation on her back, but was put on tender hooks again after traveling to Leeds only to be told that they may not operate because they could not locate a bed for her again, after waiting three hours they found one in this time the only talk was how they keep cutting back and taking beds out the system to save costs
Tina has just phoned this morning to say that her own medication has been lost and that they do not keep it again part of the cut backs and again all the staff talk about is how they keep coming back to make more savings on the front line

One Response to NHS is not safe in their hands

  1. Gary Day says:

Mark, the attitude toward and treatment of all our essential services by this Government is an absolute disgrace, as they continue to “seek better value for the taxpayers money” as they would have us believe, in reality all they are doing is looking for ways in which those in the offices of state can pass their inherent responsibilities to the private sector and when it all goes “pants” they can say “It wasn’t my fault.” A couple of days ago I visited the Intensive Care Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary and whilst there witnessed the superb service that was provided, though I also noticed it was only so because those on the front line were brilliant multi-tasker’s. However even they had they’re limits and on one occasion a nurse had to admit that she couldn’t do something until another nurse returned from the task she was doing off ward. I have no doubt as time goes on the “erosion” of our all our public essential services will continue at both national and local levels under various disguises by the Tories and my one fear is that the damage done doesn’t cost someone their life or become unrepairable by the Labour Party when they are booted out of office.

All the best to both your wife and yourself.
    Gary Day
